In Tajikistan, non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular diseases and stroke account for approximately 70% of deaths, and cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death in Tajikistan. There is an urgent need to strengthen diagnostic and therapeutic services to deal with these diseases. National Medical Center of Shifobahsh and the State Institution of Republican Scientific Center of Cardiovascular Surgery are the country's premier medical facilities, providing the highest level of diagnostic and therapeutic services in the country, but the chronic shortage and ageing of medical equipment has become a problem, and the development of specialized diagnostic and therapeutic services is an urgent issue. In this project, medical equipment such as CT scanners, endoscopes, laparoscopes, X-ray diagnostic equipment and lithotripsy equipment were delivered, contributing to improving the quality of medical services, the healthcare system and the health of the population.
