Honduras was struck by two hurricanes in 2020, which affected more than 4.6 million people (over a third of the population), more than 900 roads, 130 bridges were disrupted or damaged, and 460 rivers burst their banks and flooded. In this project, we delivered dump trucks and other equipment, contributing to rapid recovery and reconstruction from the hurricane damage. Also strengthening disaster response capabilities.

In the city of Antananarivo, Madagascar, the amount of waste generated by its citizens is increasing, due to undergoing rapid urbanization. On the other hand, the city's waste collection rate is only about 40% due to lack of vehicles and equipment limiting collection capacity. Therefore, the scattered waste in uncollected areas causes flooding of drainage channels during the rainy season. Poor sanitary conditions also lead to plague epidemic, making a solution to this problem an urgent issue. In this case, we procured equipment for waste collection and transportation, contributed to improving the waste management capacity and sanitation environment of Antananarivo City.

In recent years, the country has been facing a severe drought of historic proportions and a severe heatwave, which has led to a significant reduction in the agricultural harvest, making water shortages a continued challenge. In this project, we contributed to improving access to water and mitigating the effects of the drought by providing Eswatini with water supply-related equipment and materials (vehicle-mounted well drilling equipment, water supply pumps, etc.).

In addition to prolonged political instability, Haiti has been affected annually by a series of natural disasters due to the fragile state of its infrastructures. In 2016, a major hurricane that is said to only occur once every 10 years, struck in the south-west of the country, isolating many villages in rural areas with unpaved roads and preventing aid supplies, such as drinking water from reaching the affected population for more than a week. In this project, equipment such as Excavators were provided, contributing to the development of agricultural infrastructure, improvement of road conditions and ensuring good access throughout the country.
